Individual Therapy

Trauma ~ Anxiety ~ Depression ~ Transitions Loss & Grief Chronic Illness ~ Addiction ~ Relationships

Therapy at The Way Home welcomes individuals aged 17 to 100 who are ready to explore the roots of old patterns, trauma, and internal blocks. It's also a caring space for many seeking to rediscover joy and a more fulfilling life.

Here, you will not be seen as a diagnosis or a disorder. What you experience makes sense in the context of your story, your nervous system, your relationships, and the creative adjustments you as an amazing human developed in order to survive.

This is a space for experiential healing grounded in body-mind awareness and deep presence. We don’t just talk about what happened. We notice what’s happening right now in your body, your emotions, your nervous system, and work from there.

You’ll leave with more insight and embodied change.  You’ll leave here rooted in safety, curiosity, and nervous system repair. You’ll leave here reconnected with your own operating system - the GPS you were born with and your own inner authority.

This is not a cookie-cutter approach, because you come with your own special ingredients!  I blend several trauma-informed, mind-body modalities to assist in our work together, including EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Gestalt,  5 Rhythms dance, UZAZU, and yoga.

“…once you come home to yourself, you can open your home to other people, because you have something to offer.” ~  Thich Nhat Hanh

Therapy VS Coaching

Therapy explores the past and heals emotional patterns, trauma, and deeper psychological roots. It’s often a long-term process that supports regulation, integration, and recovery.

Coaching focuses on growth, embracing new possibilities and actionable steps toward change. It is future-focused and strength-based, helping you move through blocks and into alignment with your values.

Experiential, in-the-moment work. Change happens in the room.

When connections feel strained or the space between you feels too wide … “and you may ask yourself, well, how did I get here?” (thank you, Talking Heads!).  This is not about fixing your partner. It’s about waking up to the unconscious dance you’re both doing and changing the music.

  • Understand you’re unique dynamic

  • Build emotional safety

  • Learn  new ways of relating that bring you closer

  • It’s showing up, letting yourself be seen and heard

  • Stop blaming, defending, and fixing and start listening

  • Grow compassion for yourself and your partner

  • STOP RECYCLING the same conflict loop

  • Grow the relationship you may have thought was just a fantasy
